Add that to the overwhelming odor of marijuana which permeates the entire area, the homeless living everywhere, the obvious drug abusers and alcoholics passed out, and it’s enough to make you say adios AC!I don’t expect there to be law enforcement officers on every corner, because that’s unrealistic. It’s the people who came up to us and asked for money that really made us sick. The crowds really didn’t bother us, because most people respected our space.

To be fair it was a Saturday night in September while it’s still warm so there were people everywhere (probably a good thing to have witnesses around.) Not only were the crowds on the boardwalk but every casino was packed.

Unfortunately, we did walk past last night. Nowadays, hubby and I have stuck to the north end of the boardwalk and for the last several visits haven’t ventured past Hard Rock. It has always had a seedy atmosphere, but it’s gotten worse in the last decade. 1st time was with my parents when I was a child. Been coming down to ACNJ for over 40 years.
